For more than 23 years, Jeff has featured foster children on the news. His “Wednesday’s Child” segment has led to hundreds of children being adopted. He started Wednesday’s Child Foundation, Inc. to help children in foster care. “It’s the most rewarding part of my career and life.”
Shannon is the driving force behind the Foundation. She coordinates the board meetings and directs the annual fundraiser. “This foundation couldn’t exist without my wife,” says Jeff.
Cheryl and Jeff go way back. Cheryl helped coordinate Jeff’s Wednesday Child segments for many years. She works countless hours behind the scenes to make the Foundation a success.
Connie is an experienced and talented accountant who keeps the financial records for Wednesday’s Child Foundation, Inc. She has worked in media accounting for many years and gives her time unselfishly to help our children.
Gayle is the person everyone wishes was their aunt. She makes sure every problem is taken care of with her incredible network of contacts. Her generosity and kindness make our Foundation what it is.
Chris is a well-known attorney at the firm of Holland & Knight, and new to our board this year. His insight and knowledge are helping us meet current and future challenges. He is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, and we are lucky to have him on our board.
Suzanne is new to our board this year. She heads up “Smiles for a Bright Future,” a program started by Ensley Orthodontics where she works. Wednesday’s Child Foundation, Inc. has partnered with “Smiles for a Bright Future” in helping foster children in need of orthodontic work. Suzanne is a dynamo, and an asset to our board.
Michelle is a DHS caseworker who brings years of experience to our board. Michelle coordinates the filming of Jeff’s Wednesday’s Child segments. She also heads up “Books from the Heart” and our “Mittens and More“ campaigns.
